# Dual SIM - Creating a New Number After a Replacement

We know things happen — sometimes your Dual SIM number stops working, something breaks, or it gets deleted by mistake. If that's the case, our Support team can help by issuing a replacement number so you can get back up and running.

## Before you reach out

Please keep the following in mind:

- **Do not delete your Dual SIM number from your device.** Once a Dual SIM number is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- **We do not offer replacements based on preference.** This includes not liking the area code or the specific number you were assigned.
- Replacements are only provided when something is genuinely wrong — for example, the number isn't working, there's a technical issue, or it was deleted by accident.

## How to request a replacement

If you meet the criteria above, please contact our Support team using the in-app Help button or the top right of [this page](https://support.burnerapp.com/) and let us know what happened. Once we've reviewed your account and issued a replacement on our end, you'll be ready to set up your new number on your device.

## Setting up your new Dual SIM number

Once Support confirms that your replacement has been issued, follow these steps in the app:

1. Open the **Burner** app on your iPhone.
2. Tap **Activate SIM**.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your new Dual SIM number.

Once you've completed the flow, your new number will be active and ready to use for calls and texts. 🎉

> **Please note:** Our team reviews SIM details before issuing any replacement to make sure numbers aren't being deleted without a valid reason. If we find that a number was removed without a legitimate cause, we won't be able to approve a new number for that account.
