# Can I Log In Without a Verification Code?

If your account is registered with a cell phone number, a verification code is required to log in — there is no way to bypass this step.

If you're not receiving your code, the reason usually falls into one of the following categories:

## Traveling Abroad Without Data Access

If you're overseas and don't have SMS or data service on your primary number, you may be able to request a one-time manual code from our support team. Follow the steps outlined in our article: [Can't Get Code While Traveling Abroad/Overseas](https://support.burnerapp.com/article/391-cant-get-code-while-traveling-abroad-overseas).

Please note that this is a one-time exception. We're unable to repeatedly send manual codes, so you'll need to restore data or SMS access to your device for future logins.

## Changed Your Primary Phone Number

## Neither of the Above Apply

If the options above don't resolve your situation, you can contact our support team to request that your account be migrated to a Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple login. **Before choosing this option, please be aware:**

- Your current subscription will be cancelled
- You will need to create a brand new account and purchase a new subscription
- Your existing Burner number(s) can be kept
- All account data and message history will be permanently deleted

## Signed Up with Google or Apple?

If you originally created your account using Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, you don't need a verification code at all — simply log in using your Google or Apple credentials.
